SETTIN’ MY DIAL ON THE RADIO - BOB DYLAN 2006
Who would have thought that Bob Dylan not only
would take up the role as Disc Jockey for a radio show, but that he should do
it so well. From the first program treating the theme Weather he sounded
perfectly comfortable, like he had been doing this for years. The first 34
shows of the planned series of 50 were broadcast in 2006. All were one hour
programs except the theme Time, which ran for 77 minutes (!) and the two-hour
Christmas and New Year’s program. Many of Bob Dylan's contributions were
probably recorded during the Never-Ending Tour which this year consisted of 98

It is announced that Martin
Scorsese’s documentary No Direction
Home – Bob Dylan, is among the winners of the prestigious 65th Annual
Peabody Awards. |

The first episode of Theme
Time Radio Hour, Weather, is
broadcast on the Deep Tracks channel of XM Satellite Radio, a
subscription-based satellite radio service. For more details please refer to

The Spring tour ends in Hollywood,
Florida after 29 shows. |
12-13 May |
Dylan and the band go into Criteria Recording Studios in Miami, Florida
and records n new Bob Dylan song, Huck’s Tune, which is released on
the Lucky You soundtrack 24 April 2007 and later on The Bootleg Series Vol. 8: Tell Tale

A long Fall Tour across
North America starts with a show in the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada. The first two songs from the new album Modern Times get their live debuts: When
