HOW AM I DOING, BABE?

1         A SHORT SUBJECTIVE RETROSPECTIVE

1988 was sort of a come back year (yet another one!) for Bob Dylan. After the disastrous mini tour with The Grateful Dead and the erratic tour in Europe with Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, Dylan seemed to "recover" when he teamed up with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison, also known as The Traveling Wilburys. This resulted in three new songs and a generally delightful album. In June Dylan embarked on what turned out to be the first leg of the "The never-ending tour". This tour has no official name, but is generally referred to as "Interstate 88" after the design of the back stage passes.
