At the second night in Toronto, Ronnie Hawkins enters the stage, hollering KEEP THE WOMEN BACK, KEEP THE WOMEN BACK! and then tries to sing One More Night, a song that the band can't play and to which the Ol' Hawk has forgotten most of the words. It is said that Dylan lip-synched the words without actually singing them. A memorable moment.

Songs

Desolation Row is played for the first time during the Never-Ending Tour and is kept in the set, played now and then, during the remainder of the year. Dylan always sings the first and last verse and a couple of the other verses seemingly at random.

Shooting Star is the last song from Oh Mercy to be played live. Oh Mercy becomes the third album ever, from which all songs are played in concert.

No More One More Time a new cover, described as a real tear-jerker giving Dylan several opportunities to try out his "new" voice.

They decided that we tried to play the harmonica for a while and they stayed home! Anyway, there was an article written in the paper about me saying that the girls should come back and the harmonica should go! (booing from the audience) Well, nobody showed me that, but they sure told me about it though.
