7 the never-ending tour CONTINUES

7.1 Introduction

The never-ending tour continued 1991 with no less than SIX new legs:

The Second Fastbreak Tour during January, February and March
Spring Tour during May and June
Summer Tour in Europe during June
Summer Tour in the US during July
Tour of South America during August
Fall Tour during October and November.

It seems that the Never-Ending Tour gets more fragmented each year, during 1988 there was essentially just one long tour. In 1989 we got three tours or "legs", in 1990 five and this year six.

7.2 The Musicians

7.3 The show

The shows were structured in the same way as in 1988-1990:

The Second Fastbreak Tour featured shows in Europe, US and Mexico. Dylan came to Europe with a new lead guitarist and a new drummer. This band sounded extremely under rehearsed in the beginning and the new members had real problems filling the places of G.E. Smith and Chris Parker. César Diaz did an important job in the background. Without him this first tour would have been absolutely horrid.

Songs

God Knows and Bob Dylan's Dream made their first live appearances. The setlist remained very much the same throughout the tour with the notable exception of the second concert Glasgow which featured nine one offs!

Guests

Van Morrison joined Bob in Dublin and they sang Van's song Tupelo Honey together.

In London Ron Wood guested on February 16 playing guitar on Everything Is Broken, Man In The Long Black Coat and Like A Rolling Stone.
